the Architecture of Douglas La Ferle
“There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds”.
~G.K. Chesterton
In 1978 I graduated from University of Michigan College of Architecture and began my career at French Associates. I was a partner and design director of that firm for many years, and sold my interest a couple of years ago. This has allowed me to pursue other interests, although I continue to practice architecture in a more limited fashion.
Designing award-winning buildings requires a team of highly qualified and talented individuals such as the people I worked with at French Associates, Inc.
Below are several buildings that I designed.
