"The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice; it's conformity."
-- Rollo May
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit. From an early age I was drawn to the arts. Not that I haven’t indulged in a game of golf or a sporting event from time-to-time, I just would rather spend the time with my guitar or paint brush.
And the arts have been good to me. I got to know the love of my life, my wife Cindy, sitting across the table from her in art class in ninth grade. Also, my interest in drawing and painting led me to pursue an architecture degree at University of Michigan. I found my drawing (and drafting) ability was a plus, almost a requirement, at the time (yes , this was before computers). I enjoyed a very successful career in architecture.
Music was always a passion, too. Ever since middle school, I have been involved in music in some way. From garage bands to bar gigs, I’ve done it all. Nowadays, I enjoy composing more than performing. The computer has become my main musical instrument and now I can play, record, and produce the songs myself.
I’m easily distracted, or like my alter ego “Professor Pandemonium”, I have far-ranging interests and “curiosities”. My life has been a “Cabinet of Wonders”, filled with abundance - projects, experiences, laughter and loves. My collection grows larger every day.
I can’t wait for the next new discovery!
